Rubén Gutiérrez tells us that in these three and a half years of taking Totum Sport his cramps have completely disappeared and his recovery has improved dramatically.

The first news I had of Totum Sport was at the beginning of 2013, when I saw it on Social Networks. I was struck by the fact that it was a sports drink made up of seawater, and not like the rest of the commercial brands of isotonic drinks. It caught my attention and I started to get interested in the product. I tried it and instantly noticed the benefits.

In the 2014-15 season I began to take it continuously during training, and the current 2017-18 is the fourth that I continue to use Totum Sport in training and races.

I’ve used Totum Sport for two and a half years and I’ve found the following benefits.

Cramps have completely disappeared.

Before swimming, when I was little, I practiced all kinds of sports (tennis, handball, indoor soccer, athletics, cycling, etc.), and in all of them I stood out for strength, not for resistance. I was not fat, but I was not thin at all. In addition I have always relied on the strength of my legs. I remember when I was 16 years old, the first day I went to a gym, I sat on the quadriceps machine, and I was able to lift the whole weight of the machine doing series of 10 repetitions.

When I was swimming I had quite a lot of leg problems, especially when I was dedicating myself more to back and long distance training. I continually suffered from pains and cramps in the soles of both my feet.  The pain got so bad that I often had to abandon training when I suffered the pull, resulting in several days missing training. Since using Totum Sport (I take a sachet before training) the cramps have disappeared. Also the next day I am in perfect condition. The same thing happens to me in the competitions, where I also usually take a sachet of Totum Sport before the tests. In the Crossings to Swim, where the goal is running a few meters on the sand of the beach, the transition from swimming to running on foot is one of my strengths. In that stretch I usually win positions and I never lose any.

I have not had a cold since taking Totum Sport.

Another big problem that has disappeared since regularly taking Totum Sport is not coming down with a cold in winter. When going to swim we usually leave with wet hair from a very humid and hot environment like the pool, to a much drier and very cold one. During these changes in temperature – despite wearing a wool cap and so on – I used to be punished with at least two weeks of cold in the winter, with 10 to 14 days of blowing my nose non stop, being unable to sleep well, coughing and in the worst cases, suffering a fever. Those who exercise regularly will know the effects of a cold and how this cuts the pace of workouts and leaves you weak. It is worse if it catches you in the build up for a major competition, as it has happened to me on more than one occasion.

These past three winters, I have not had any colds or flus, and touch wood it stays this way :).

As I said before, I usually take a sachet of Totum Sport before my workouts, since they tend to be between an hour and an hour and a half. During the training, if it is in the pool, I have a bottle of water. In longer workouts, I have increased the number of sachets; for example in the 100 × 100, which is about 3 hours in a row, I take one before starting and then one every hour.
